Shihab Mian (grovetender
)
(she-hub me-in, he/him)
is a game developer, webweaver & creative technologist working primarily with creative programming & game engines. He is intrigued by the emotional dimensions of technology and how it shapes human connection in our increasingly networked world. In his practice, Shihab looks to deconstruct this relation between technology and humanity. Examining how it has been distorted, disfigured, and transformed by rapid technological advancement. He creates deprecated programs and intentional failings, where inefficiency, glitch, or error are embraced as part of the creative process.

On neocities & my other hand-made web weaving adventures, I like to practice my poetry and worldbuilding. I love to leave things mostly unfinished and consistently changing. I enjoy the diary like, identity embued nature of hand coded personal websites. Find easter eggs (obvious & obscure) of all my favorite shows, games, movies & music. Dithering and exploring javascript interactions within the web browser have been points of interest as of late.

this house dithered in the background is my childhood home pictured with my first car (white 2008 Mazda3).
My family and I moved into it in 2007. I've moved out and back in 2* times now. Mournful but also hopeful that in 5 days I may move out for the last time. I developed a walking simulator set inside my childhood home during as the artist in residence at Heckhole Studios in 2026. I think this game put me on my correct path.
I titled it: could you understand me leaving?
